Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Earl King, The Meters - Big Chief - New Orleans Swamp/Soundstage - ‘74

I forgot about Mardi Gras but 8AM Wednesday morning is arguably still Fat Tuesday. Happy Carnival!

Enjoy Dr. John with his friends Professor Longhair, Earl King, and the Meters as they get dirty playing Big Chief on Dr. John’s Soundstage set called "New Orleans Swamp."

The White Stripes - Jolene - Under Blackpool Lights

John Barry Conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra - Goldfinger & James Bond Theme - 2007 Meltdown Concert

Composer John Barry passed away on Sunday and All Things Live remembers him today with this clip of Barry conducting the London Philharmonic through two of his most recognizable compositions.  Famous for his film scores, John Barry arranged (and probably composed) the James Bond theme from a scratch musical manuscript written by Monty Newman although full compositional credit is given to Newman. Barry worked on the soundtrack for 11 Bond films including Goldfinger (1964), Diamonds are Forever (1971), Moonraker (1979), Octopussy (1983), and A View to Kill (1985) and composed the score for dozens of films including The Deep (1977), Out of Africa (1985), Howard the Duck (1986), Chaplin (1992), and Dances With Wolves (1990).
